A mother's endurance
Orangutans can live for over 40 years, but an average female will have only three offspring in her lifetime. That is a LOT of pressure for a mother! Not only is she trying to survive while her habitat is being destroyed, she also has the fate of her species on her shoulders, whilst trying to keep her little ones safe.
This painting represents the stead fast endurance of an orangutan mother, against the backdrop of fast approaching extinction.
As part of the Endangered collection, 80% of the proceeds from the sale of this painting will go to Sumatran Orangutan Society, a conservation organization who help wild orangutans thrive in resilient forests.
30x40 inches, acrylic on canvas
Prints of this painting will be available soon.
