Growing up, animals have always played a big role in my life; whether that was helping out on farms, visiting elephant sanctuaries in Asia or getting lost in David Attenborough documentaries for hours. I feel so lucky to have had so many first hand experiences with magnificent and striking animals.
My work strives to draw attention to and remind us of the beauty and importance of animals, and the active role we all play in helping to conserve them and their habitats. I use abstract and representational techniques to connect the subject and background with the intent of demonstrating the interconnectedness of the world around us and the ethereal significance these animals have on our lives.
